Here are some Pictures that I found on the Getty Images website tat have helped me to expand my ideas for my Self Portrait. I love the contrast in the Black and White one and the effect of the the images showing through.

Working With Photoshop

Photoshop is tons of FUN!! I really enjoy creating things in photoshop. We learned how to select image using paths today. I personally don't like using paths, I use the mask setting usually to select large images. We also learned to use the the layer effects which I have found to be very effective as I have been working on my Self-Portrait

Portrait Project

I am having a hard time expanding on my Idea for this project. It needs to be more metaphorical probably. I have the base idea though. I want it to be a close up image of myself because when it comes to self portraits I believe that being close to the face is very important, because the whole image is about that person and the face is the most interesting part of the body. The face has the most detail and the human eye is always attracted to the face. I also want to use spot colour. I think spot colour looks really neat and is very effective in giving emphasis to something. I want to make my eyes green and leave the rest of my face black and white, which I think will look really neat!

Idea for self portrait

I have a really good idea for my Self Protrait and am excited to start working on it now. It is going to be a close up black and white picture, but the eyes will be left in color making the eyes the emphasis of the picture. I was also thinking that I would try and make it look like something is reflecting in my eyes.

New Media 2020

This is my first blog entry ever. I don't think there is much point to Blogs, but it has been a delightful adventure learning how.

NMED 2020 at the U of L. I thought that this course would be very interesting, because I like some of the elements of New Media, especialy when it comes to photo editing and things such as that. I hope to get better at using Adobe Photoshop, which I have some experience with from highschool. However I have never worked with Dreamweaver or Premiere, but I am looking forward to it. I hope to Achieve an A in this class and learn the beginnings of creating Art with New Media.
