Collage

I think I have decided for sure now to do my collage on the song "The Everglow" - By Mae. Mae is one of my favorite groups and they have great lyrics. I listened to a bunch of their songs and wrote down things that came to my mind while listening, then I picked the song that I thought would work best. I got a little bit of inspiration from the album cover (the album is also called The Everglow). The only real struggle I have faced so far is the resolution. The kind of images I need and want for this picture I can't just go and take by myself, so I have found most of my Images on gettyimages.com, But the resolution is so low, so I don't think that I will be able to make my final images as big as I would like to.

Creative Strategy

While writing my creative strategy i thought alot about what really goes into planning a project like this. I understand a little bit better now. But the one things that bothers me about art is that it has to have some intellectual meaning. Every little detail has to have meaning. Why can't it just be that way because I think it looked good, or because i just wanted to try doing something different. Why can't Art just me Art? Why does it have to say something about our lives? I draw; i draw not because I am trying to say something about life, but because i want to. My statment about Art is just Art, and someone can make Art just because they want to!

Project Numero Uno

I have really enjoyed this self portrait project. It kind of makes you think about how you percieve yourself or maybe how other people percieve you. It also makes you realize how much work goes into all the things that we see everything day or like in the Dove self esteem video, how thing are not always what we think they are. With photoshop you are able to control all of the elements. You can make people see whatever you want them to see.
